Richard Mandella is a Hall of Fame Thoroughbred Race Trainer.
Richard has won a number of Breeders' Cup races including four in one day.
Between 1996 and 1998 he won 6 straight million dollar races in Southern California
with Dare and Go, Siphon, Gentlemen, and Malek. In 2004 he won the Dubai World
Cup with Pleasantly Perfect.
Claude R. "Shug" McGaughey III is a Hall of Fame Thoroughbred Race
Trainer and recipient of the Eclipse Award Outstanding Trainer 1988. Shug has won
over 240 graded stake races. He has had horses win in the Kentucky Derby and
Belmont. His horses have also placed or showed in the Kentucky Derby, Preakness
Stakes, and Belmont Stakes. Shug also won 9 Breeders' Cup races.
Larry Jones was originally a farmer, but he found horse racing more
exciting, so he took out his trainer's license in 1982. He has won several graded
stakes races. In 2007, Hard Spun was his first horse to head to the Kentucky
Derby, running second in both the Kentucky Derby and Breeders' Cup Classic.
In 2008 Larry Jones was awarded the Big Sport of Turfdom Award.
Barclay Tagg has been a well-known trainer within the thoroughbred
race world for more than 40 years.
His prestigious wins include the 2003 Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes
with Funny Cide, the 2008 Wood Memorial with Tale of Ekati, and winner of
the 2020 Belmont Stakes race with Tiz the Law.
